About This Site

Switchback Fair is written by Tom Keal. It was launched on 19 October 2003.

The current version of the site is Mark IV. A list of changes to the site is available.

Switchback Fair is the successor to an earlier site called Frozen Neap ('A Fresh Harpoon in a Sea of Bad Jokes'). It was regularly updated from October 1996 until early 1999, when the author realised that its name was silly and lost interest. The Switchback Fair authorities warn you to be on the lookout for recycled material from the old site. Giveaways include references to 'John Major', 'Cool Britannia', and 'people making money from the internet'.
